I think their first visit is meant to be around the of 4-5
The earlier the better. So they get used to the Dentist. You need to make it as fun as possible.
I've started very young! My kids all started with a simple mouth check when they had about 6 teeth. I want them the be comfortable when seeing Dentists, we all have a 6 monthly checkup together.
