My ex husband is suppose to be paying /135.00 a week in child support but has only been paying $25 pw for the past 18 months. He currently owes over $8,000. My question is should he be responsible for paying at least half of our sons public school fees since he isn't paying his correct amount of child support? Unsure of why I'm paying for everything. I have our son 65% of the time and his dad has him 35%. Our court orders state we have shared parental responsibility so surely that should mean school costs etc?

I have a friend in a similar situation. She asked child support and was told that he does not have to pay half or any part of it as that is what her child support is for. Personally I think he should have to pay half though as child support is not alot of money in the whole big scheme of things. Good luck xo
My experience has been that child support is supposed to cover everything.
I feel for you IM, his child support is supposed to cover all that stuff but he clearly isn't paying you enough to cover one meal!!! If he was to pay what he was supposed to you would be fine... I would contact child support and let them know how far behind he is and see what they suggest. I hope it all works out for you.
