Adoption

Has anyone adopted out a baby and be willing to share the experience?
It's supposed to be my "third option" but I can find next to no info on it and know absolutely no one who has ever done this, is it even done these days??

Adoptions are definitely still done in australia although in very small numbers. If you could tell us what state you are in that would help as the agencies responsible for this vary from state to state. In South Australia you would need to talk to FamiliesSA.
Adoptions are very different to what we see on American TV.

I'm in nsw, but really really hoping to hear from mums who have done this, regardless of their state

I haven't personally been through it, but if you contact your local family planning clinic they should be able to put you in touch with a support group/organisation close to where you are. They should also be able to provide information regarding how the process works. I wish you all the best x
