Long story short, I'm a 30 year old mum of 3 children. I've suffered from endometriosis since I was 19 and have had 3 laparoscopys over the years. With my last 2 pregnancys I suffered extreme pelvis instability and now a prolapse, and am therefore not having any more children. Since my 3rd bub who is 2 1/2 yrs old, I've been suffering horrible pressure/pelvic pain during my cycle at all times of the month, as well as bleeding. Turns out I have Adenomyosis. My dr has tried me on several contraceptive pills as well as the mirena (was taken out within 2 weeks due to constant fainting) but it seems my body is oestrogen sensitive so I haven't been tolerating any of them and have just stopped bleeding after a 9 week spell of flow whilst on a particular one. It's now suggested that my dr wants to try me on the menopause drug GnRH or opt for a hysterectomy as that's the only way to stop my 24/7 pain and discomfort. I guess my question is, has anyone else had either of these and found them to help? I don't want to go into early menopause, so I'm leaning towards the surgery, but was after any positive/negatives that have come up with others of the same age. Obviously my sexual relationship is suffering horribly so would like the option best for that too.
