My son is 8 and 38kgs, us 1.3mts tall and is sticky compared to his mates. He is super active and eats really healthy. We cycle, run, swim weekly. We are active daily with the trampoline etc. we always get comments on how big he is, do we try a diet? The drs aren't concerned? But I don't want his shape to be an issue. Suggestions? As a family unit hubby and I are well within healthy bmi and eat good food to, no soft drink junk etc. with a view of moderation to kost things.

He's a growing boy i wouldn't worry about it especially if he's a healthy active kid and the doctors aren't worried
If he is a healthy active kid, your diet is ok, don't stress. Boys especially I find chunk up right before they go through a growth spurt.
I remember a kid I grew up with, got quite chunky, and the next time I saw him, he'd grown a foot and was normal healthy weight.
Sounds like he has a healthy lifestyle and I really wouldn't worry!
