at what age did your baby drop to 1 sleep? my DD has just turned 15 months, she sleeps thru the night and wakes about 7:15/7:30. by 9:15 she's whinging at my leg and yawning, so she goes down for her sleep. she sleeps till about 11/11:30, is up for a feed and lunch, play, outing etc and I try and put her down again about 2/2:30pm. but she just plays and mucks around, and doesn't sleep! she goes to bed of an evening around 7:30. so she's awake for 8 hours without that arvo sleep. I'm not sure shes ready to drop to one lunch sleep, but can't really get her to have that afternoon sleep. any suggestions??

Exactly the same was happening with my (almost) one year old, her transition but she was falling asleep at 5 o clock then wouldn't sleep till 8/9 so I just have to keep her busy and distracted in the morning, if we are at home or driving at the 9-930 mark she would sleep but I just kept her busy and didn't let er sleep dost do any sleep triggers for her and would start to put her down at 11 at the absolute earliest ...
It took 3 weeks but she now goes down at 1130/12:00 for 2 ish hours and night bedtime 630/700
Much happier bub now
Mine dropped his second sleep around 12 months, was hard the first couple of weeks but I just rolled with it. Some days he would have two, other days he would have just the one. He now sleeps 6.30pm to 6.30am, and has his nap from 10.30am-12.30pm. Just try pushing the nap back by 15 mins every couple of days until you get it to where it suits bub, and just have a little quiet time in the arvo so she is at least having a small rest (even for 10-20mins) until you've adjusted.
