No answers sorry..but watching this post as I'm in the same boat with my 3.5 yo..... It's so frustrating..!!
My almost four year old has only just stopped pooing in a nappy (he was wee trained but would ask for a nappy to poo) we tried everything we could think of like rewards, different toilet seats etc but nothing worked. A friend said sometimes they do it because they are getting your immediate attention because you are having to clean them up and change them etc. so (the next bit might sound a bit mean) but the next time he pooed and asked me to change him I said (in a cheery tone) I just had to do something eg wash the dishes. Then once I finished that I had to do something else (I didn't leave him for a long time, maybe 20 mins but he was used to me changing him straight away) when I finally did change him we had a chat about how it didn't feel nice and he finally agreed to try the potty. It took a lot of encouragement and praise but he is finally going by himself to the toilet. Your little one will get there eventually. Good luck x
Thank you I have asked him but won't tell me why he won't so thinking it might be a way of getting me to pay more focals on him more so trying more him and I time I have a 2yo little miss too so thank you
