Separate rooms

Is sleeping in separate rooms, the beginning of the end? We both snore. But I am used to noise so can sleep soundly. He however, can not stand my snoring or any noise when he sleeps. I have SA but sleep aids don't work.
Most nights now, hes sleeping in the spare room. Im now feeling like the intimacy may fade.
