Missing stuff

Hi all,

We have recently moved to a new area and my children have made friends with a few of the neighbour hood kids. One family in particular. There are two kids in this family. The older one stole my child’s favourite plush. The parents reprimanded the child for this and made them return it. Recently I have noticed quite a few switch games missing. The last time I remember them being used was when my son and the younger one were playing them. I’m a bit suspicious they may have taken them. I have searched our house multiple times and they are no where to be found. The games all add up to around a few hundred dollars. I don’t know how to approach this. Please help!

I would get my kids to have a play over there for a while and then put all the switch games that are theirs in their pockets and bring them home. They can openly say "mum said I am only allowed to play the games at home so I have to take these back". If they are not there, I would not accuse them and just be very wary in future. It's tricky as it's neighbours too and you just do not know how they will react 😬 I know other people will just tell you to be honest with the parents but not sure how that would go down. I once had a woman accuse my son of stealing her sons squishy and my son has never stolen anything. It did not go down well and she found it later on at home. I won't have anything to do with her again because she was over the top.
