I work in a service station, I'm 36 and getting paid $20/hr never agreed to this when I was asked to come back to the business however I did agree to this once before two years ago when I left the business and came back only because, I didn't like talking to the boss, hard to understand him.
I've lost count of how many times I've reported my job for illegal practices. They don't pay us correctly, and we have 16- and 17-year-olds working for us, selling cigarettes when the manager isn't there. They're not being paid correctly either; I think I heard one mention $12/hour during the week. I haven't seen a payslip in a month because the payroll system has been hacked. IT is supposed to be fixing the issue, but nothing's changed. What's frustrating is that IT is run by the boss's wife, and the team is all Indian. Despite my efforts—making phone calls, sending emails, and submitting six anonymous reports, two of which were made by the teenagers' parents—I haven't seen any serious action taken on my reports. I want the business shut down. I don't care if it means losing my job.

If fair work have contacted them the process might take time and I doubt they would tell you. Something might be happening
Did Fairwork give you a reference number? I would also follow up and put it in writing so they have to act. They would have deadlines re response times.
