How much do you pay? What kind of car do you have, where do you live?
My car is a 2013 x trail with a $12000 replacement value. I've only had one claim in 25 years for a kangaroo. No roadside assistance or car hire included. Rural WA.
I pay $105 a month with a $700 excess. Just seems excessive for a 12k car and good record, interested to know what others are paying.

I currently pay $140 a month with a $600 excess for a 2011 Hyundai ix35, insured at market value. I live in Brisbane. I’ve claimed maybe 3 or 4 times in 26 years of driving. It will be going up soon when I add my 18 year old son as a named driver to reduce his excess to $1000 (due to age and experience).
I have a 2012 ix35 with youi, pay about 50 per month, similar excess, no garage, just carport.
I currently pay $83 for a 2017 SSV Commodore Redline. $800 excess as thats the amount I chose. (The higher the excess you choose, the lower your monthly premiums will be.) Paid $65K for it. (One of the last Holden V8's). Market value at the moment is up around $100K due to the car not being made anymore and in high demand with collectors. I've had one accident (not at fault - a car backed into me while I was parked legally) where the bumper had to be replaced. Premium goes up by about $15 a month every year. Currently has 50K on the speed. I live in Melbourne Vic, Eastern suburbs.
2023 MG ZS learner driver as well I pay $55 per fortnight with Budget
