I never say no to spending time with his family, but all I get is resistance when it's time to spend time with mine. It's been a thing our entire relationship, almost 11yrs and it truly hurts my feelings. When I bring it up, he goes on how we only go to his parents like 3 times a year.... well times that by 6 and that's the least amount of times we see them. I lost my mum not long ago. My step dad really needs us all right now, and all iv gotten off darling hubby is bitching that he has to come.

I had this in my past relationship. He isolated me from my family. I will NEVER allow a man to do this again. I've lost my mum and my stepdad now. I'm the one with regrets while that prick has none.
Please tell him to pull his head in or go without him. Probably have a better time without him there anyway. Btw make him look after the kids when you do go. Stuff him.
Just go without him and then don't go to his family, or bitch about it like he does and when comments about it, say " it doesn't feel nice when you do it to me either"
