Dangerous dogs

I'm really getting sick of my neighbours dogs. Iv kept a diary, contacted council and taken videos. They don't seem to give too hoots.

We can't go out the back with out them attacking the fence. My colour bond fence is all dented up. It literally scares me. The last house we were rented, we had the same problem. To large dogs pushed through the colour bond fence and attacked my dog, ripping up her face. We ended up having to reinforce the fence in the hopes to keep them out, and reported it, for nothing to be done. I couldnt even let my kids play out side unsupervised out of fear they would be attacked. Now we are going through this all again.
Granted, these aren't as strong to smash through the fence, I'm still worried for my kids.
The other neighbours are having the same issue, and the owner of my house said its been happening for years. I'm at that point I'm about to sprinkle chilly power by the fence to keep them away.
We can't move with the housing crisis where I am, it took us 8 months to find this place.

What would you do

Report it higher at the council. In writing. Sometimes you just get a lazy fucker who won't do their job. After that, go to your local MP.

With Council, you have to keep complaining repeatedly. Like every single time this happens. They have to build a file, you can't just complain once, because if you do once and never again, they'll assume it stopped.

Complain to your real estate agent, especially about the fence, they may know how to contact the owners of that property, or will take it through Council as well, due to the property damage.

Also look up the actual council laws arohnd dog ownership, and make sure your complaint targets those laws, and make sure you follow their required steps, such as putting a letter in the property's letterbox asking the residents to stop their dogs.

It's quite likely the council laws have nothing at all to do with fence damage, or them attacking the fence, so don't bother complaining about that - you'll have more success complaining about the dogs barking.

Have you tried talking to the neighbours? Not to confront but to bring the subject up in a civil way. I'm a dog lover so I would see if me socialising with them would help because they are just defending their property, they don't understand that you're not trying to get into their back yard, if you get what I'm saying? Our old neighbours dog used to escape their backyard so we would put it in ours until they got back from work, my dog and kids loved it and the neighbours were happy their dog was safe. Could be worth it to just visit and try and get their dog familiar with you and your scent. You get more from being friendly with your neighbours than you do being enemies.
