My son is diagnosed ADHD, mild compared to some. He has been medicated for the past 2 years. I have always only given medication on school days. Peadiatrician has never queried me doing this.
I’m just wondering if this is the norm and has this continued to work for parents heading into the teen years?

My son is on vyvanse. I only medicate on school days. I asked paediatrician about it and she said no problem with that. It works for us. He catches up on eating etc on weekends. My son is 12.
If it's working for him then he's tolerating this well enough to keep at it this way.
