Hi ladies, I am currently on concerta and have been for 8 months . But the last 2 months I'm getting this weird side effect where my face goes beet red as I'm coming off it. I've tried taking the dose every second day or even halving them but it still happens. It never happened for the first 6 months. I have googled info on reddit and it seems that I'm not the only one this happens to. I'm getting deeply depressed as it's very noticeable. I have a Dr appointment next week to see about coming off concerta entirely .
Has this happened to anyone else? I've heard it happens on Duromine too and ritalin, and any other meds that contain amphetimine type ingredients.
I'm just here to ask if this is something that occurs with anyone else on stimulant medication? It's really scaring me and I'm starting to get deeply depressed because of having such a hot red face and Scalp during the wear off period. What's going on? How do you deal with it? It's not one of the side effects that's listed . Most side effects are insomnia, faster heart rate, lack of appetite . Nothing much mentions a beetroot red face upon wear - off. Please let me know if this has been you too?
