I want to go off of birth control, 9yrs and my depression is bad also over the hormonal acne and I've gained a lot of weight.
I'm 35 this year, can I ask my dr if I can get my tubes tied and if anyone has recently gone through this.
How long was recovery?
And if there was any complications.

Had mine done when I was 32. No side effects. No pain. No problems. Back at work the next day. That's my experience, but everyone's is different.
I was about 35, no side effects.
Just be aware, if your period is being controlled by contraceptives (mine is always extremely light on the pill) it will return to its more normal state.
I had my tubes tied.with my second csection at 36. My healing was the same as with my first section about 3 weeks to feel pain free. I am 3 years post tubal and I haven't had any issues at all
