How would you feel about this?

I had some injectables done over a month ago and the fillers have gone wrong with a strong immune response.

We are in the process of trying to ease the inflammation through prescribed steroids and anti histamines. I did ask to just have them dissolved, but was advised we are best to follow this process first as dissolving them is not that easy apparently.

Anyway it seems that the clinic that completed the injectables have not completed their required process with consent forms and advise before treatment.

Last night I received an email from the clinic with a copy of a document (consent form) that had been electronically signed and dated on my behalf without my knowledge or consent.

On contacting the clinic about this, it was brushed off in a voice message, and still waiting for a clearer response.

Would you be concerned about the clinic signing your name on the consent form without your knowledge? Or am I over-reacting?

**Edit - I don’t think I was meant to receive a copy of the signed document, it came from docusign.

If it’s a form that requires your signature then I would have a huge issue with that, and they’re in serious trouble. Keep copies of everything , screen shot in case they pull back emails from their end. In case you end up taking it further

It isn’t likely to matter significantly. By making an appointment and attending it infers consent.

Autoimmune responses do happen without any negligence.

I’m not sure why they would have done that.

I'd report them for it to the governing body for their profession, or even the police for advice. I'd also let them know I'd done it. Forging documents is a serious criminal offense.

They're also covering their butts. If you need to make a legal claim somewhere along the line you won't be able to if you've 'signed' documents.

I'm also pushing because I think important documents and information should be done properly. My father was in hospital recently, for several weeks, seriously I'll but completely lucid. The day he was discharged a doctor decided to ask him about his resuscitation & health directives & ask if he had an advanced health directive. I suspect they'd just realised it hadn't been done. I wish I'd caused waves & complained. It's not good enough.

But you went there and attended?
I don't understand your issue.
Would you have not attended if they asked you to sign the form?
If you think they are negligent with the procedure, that's one thing, but attending the clinic and later having an issue with a form is ridiculous.
I'm not sure what your angle is?
Did the form say something that would have stopped you attending?
