Would any parents on here with a food intolerance get nerve pain and head pain after eating certain foods.?
I don’t get it all the time but I do have a food diary and have noticed it mainly with Mexican food, gluten and some Asian food and fried food.
Is this possible because they would be inflammatory foods?
I feel the gut pain with it first, then feel the burning sensation in my head.
Trying to pinpoint what it is in the food causing this, is always hard. Gluten aways seems to be an obvious one and MSG.
I have read others posts on here with similar symptoms and hope, I could get some ideas of what to avoid.
It’s been put down medically as an intolerance after conditions have been ruled out, but it’s up to me to work out, which intolerance with a food diary. It’s harder than I expected. The only tell me to avoid gluten and lactose. I seem to think there would be more to avoid.
I read on someone else’s post about chemical intolerances too. Why don’t Drs ever mention these?
My next step is a naturopath.

I am gluten intolerant but yes I am confused by the myriad of information out there. I have joined Facebook groups for Celiac and gluten intolerant and they have been helpful.
Brain fog, headaches were awful with mine but I also found out due to the gut issues I was overloading on Iron and had a Vitamin B12 deficiency which was confirmed by a doctors blood test. However, my naturopath picked things up before they did.
I know you said naturopath next and I have to say mine was a godsend. Without her I would have been so lost. Definitely recommend finding an experienced one
I was vitamin B deficient also but have
Since had regular injections to keep
It up. Is this caused by the gluten? Is there any particular naturopath that I should see, or are they all the same?
From my understanding the damage to the gut causes issues with absorption which makes sense. So my naturopath also helped me to include a strong probiotic, bone broths and things that helped to heal my gut. I also had genetic testing for Hemachromotosis but this was negative.
I am not sure about which naturopath but I would look at reviews. My local health food store initially told me about mine. I was lucky I found one with over 30 years experience. She also worked with biofeedback which picked up I had lysine in my system. I forgot to tell her I had taken coldsore tablets. It blew my mind.
This is fantastic. I will look into some online with years of experience and gut helath. Thanks for your advice.
No worries, all the best on your journey :)
