Not sure where else to ask this question 🤔
Please help! I've just moved into a rental, and it's ceramic floor tile, it's driving me crazy when it comes to mopping! My kids bathroom also gets no breeze and can take hours to dry, I'm in Cairns so I'm not sure if the humidity is to blame as well? But whenever I mop, my tiles are so sticky or more slippery. I only use hot, hot water from the kettle, and only bleach or the cheap lavender disinfectant from Coles as I'm not a huge fan of thicker liquids.
Are there any suggestions to help or what I can use to get the feeling of the sticky floor and slipperiness out of the tile?
Thank you in advance 🤞😊

Try a bucket of hot water, 1/2 a cup of vinegar and 1/2 a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid.
I just walk over it with a towel to dry the floor
Try a steam mop instead.
Fans help dry quicker.
Rinse aid, dishwasher tablet and boiling water from kettle mix till dissolved. Fans and air cond dry.
Or buy terry nappies from big W, one on each foot….floor skates
Grout comes up awesome
Use a slightly damp mop and mop it like that with a bit of methylated spirits in the water. It will dry quickly.
When I lived in Cairns I had this issue. I switched to hot water & 1 squirt of the thicker toilet bleach, followed by a towel dry all over. It helped heaps.
The newish apartment complexes all seem to have some sort of sticky residue that makes it feel like you're mopping with sugar
