Hello, I am hoping someone out there can help me! Has anyone had a DNA test with their first cousin? I found out I was pregnant in my first year of Uni and unfortunately, I had been "playing the field". There could be two possible father's and I have no idea who the father is to my son. I haven't told anyone and please no hate (my anxiety and mental health is suffering enough as it is). I just want to know first before I tell the father. There is a possibility that I could test my son's possible first cousin. Has anyone done this type of DNA testing? Would love it if someone could point me to a place that does it.

From a scientific standpoint yes you can do DNA tests with cousins. It basically works by determining if the two cousins share a set of grandparents (either maternal or paternal).
Obviously you'd get a more accurate result testing from the potential fathers though.
Another thing to consider is whether you can trust the parents of your son's possible cousin. If I were put in a position where someone asked to do a DNA comparison with my kids to prove paternity - that is in no way something I'd do behind my brothers back, I'm not even sure it'd be something I'd agree to at all!
They can. Cousins still share some markers
Be honest to the two men and ask if they are willing to test. Being upfront now is the very best option, testing a potential cousin is further adding to dishonesty. It may be uncomfortable though it will be the best for all involved in the long run
