Antibodies testing results ??

For those of you, who have had different antibodies testing, what is the outcome if any come back positive.? Does it mean you will develop this condition? Or You already have it.?

What happens if any are positive.? Do you start treatment for the condition or is it mostly about being aware and monitoring it?

For example one I had tested is for coeliac, if this were to show positive, would this mean I am likely to develop it? Would I start a coeliac diet.? or is this mainly so we know what to expect and to Monitor for the future. Would it mean I will get the condition or just at risk of it.?

I will be going to be specialist on Thursday for my results, where I will ask the questions but I am curious to know what to expect in the meantime? This is the first time I’ve had this testing done. TA

Positive. This mean that celiac disease antibodies were found in your blood. So, you're likely to have celiac disease. To confirm the diagnosis, you will need more tests to look for damage in your intestines

I just copy and pasted from Google search

I have already had those tests on my intestines.I was thinking this antibodies tests should have been done first but seems as though it’s back to front. It left me a little confused. Ta

It doesn’t necessarily mean you have coeliac but you are likely for it to develop.
We have T1 diabetes testing done on our kids after a sibling was diagnosed. Positive antibodies would indicate that they were either in the early stages of the disease or it was an imminent diagnosis
