My daughter has very pale skin and a lot of dark hair on her arms. She's told me she wants to get rid of it but is scared of waxing.
I have blonde hair on my arms and not much of it so I do not know how to tackle this issue with her.
Shaving doesn't seem appropriate? But I don't really know...
What do women do if they have hairy arms and want to get rid of it?
I can't afford laser for her but that could be an option down the track.
Her legs are hairy too but she doesn't seem bothered by it. Her arms like the other girls at school have mentioned it to her since she was in year 2 so it's something she hates and wants to get rid of.
Please any options that are ok for a 10 yr old would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter is 10 and is exactly the. Same, she’s always said kids ask her why her arms are so hairy. I wouldn’t let her get rid of it unless it was upsetting her badly and affecting school. I am
Happy for her to shave her legs anytime from 10 if she needed to but not her arms.
I said to her , that her arms are fine there is nothing wrong with them and we are all made differently and that is what make you, who you are. She was fine with that and hasn’t mentioned it for a while now. She has just started to get hair under her arms so she will be learning to shave soon if she wants to shave under. As she gets older the hair on her arms won’t be so noticeable.
If she really wants to do it, try some nair just do a patch a time. Get the sensitive one.
The dermaplane razors. Skinny and easy to use and dry shave without a rash.
She'll be shaving her arm's for the rest of her life though and also ingrown hair's etc.
We're all born differently and kid's these day's are prices.
Tell her she needs to be proud of her who is she.
I used to tell my daughter that everyone has hair all over their body. Sometimes it’s darker sometimes it’s lighter sometimes it’s longer but it’s there. So these people are just silly people that don’t understand that or haven’t seen people with dark hair and would also show my own hair
Laser costs around the same as professional waxing and is cheaper over the long term because you don’t need it monthly. I’m getting it done for my daughters. One already has had about 8 sessions and now needs one every few months. We go to MySkin clinics and they have good sales where you can buy a few sessions for much less.
I would start with either hair removal cream or buy a decent women's electric shaver for her to use. But I would also explain to her that hair removal is very time consuming. Depending on method of removes it may be daily, weekly or monthly maintenance
I would wax. Shaving will make hair grow back thicker and coarser. Hair removal creams I feel have too high a risk of damaging her skin (risk of adverse reactions and chemical burns). Laser could be an option when she's older (I'm a big fan of laser personally), but no reputable place will do it on a child that young. They recommend waiting until they have past through most of puberty.
