It’s the same thing as HIIT training/circuit training. If that’s your thing go for it.
I think you need to do what you enjoy, that’s what will make you keep going. 3 or 4 times a week you need to do something that gets your heart going for about an hour. It really doesn’t matter what you do, if it’s a group class or a running app, a bike ride, paddleboarding, Pilates. Pick the activities, find the 3 or 4 hour blocks in your schedule and make it your routine.
Also you’ll lose weight much quicker with what you eat. If you look at calorie counting and calorie intake and deficit, and you see how many calories a good workout burns off, you’ll see it’s good and it helps but it’s not that many! You can easily undo your hard work if you eat too many calories.
Remember, weight loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise. You can go to the gym all you like but if you're still scoffing large amounts of food, you'll still continue to put on weight. It's all about what goes in your mouth, not how much physical fitness you do.
I just want to point out that if you have 5 kids, work full time and moved house, you can go ahead and scratch ‘lazy’ off the list.
