My step daughter lives with her father and I... these holidays she's off to visit her mum. She has a step sister, a year older... last night she said she hates her, and she's a b*tch.
Her step sister sees her step dad very rarely, her father is a dead beat, and really couldn't give a f*@k. His daughter is so starved for his affection, she's acting out, simply so he will look her way. Iv seen it, and its heart breaking. All he is, is interested in his younger kids, and my step daughter.
Iv tried to explain to my step daughter, that her ss is jealous because when she comes, it's like she's not there. Granted, her ss, has been not so pleasant towards her, but how can I show my sd that being understanding would go a long way, that how would she feel if her father acted like she was nothing. Last time ss was up, at 12yo, she finally found the strength to call her dad out, by the end of the day he dumped her on a train by herself. She's now 14

I would be really sus that this man is uninterested in his own daughter but lavishes attention on your daughter who is not his?! Really concerning. I also would ask how you know this is the way it is at their house?

Fuck that!! Why is he like this to his child?? That would make me tell him that unless he starts treating her correctly and like his child, then you will be talking the children on a big holiday without their dad nd may not come back.
