My 40th is coming up in January, and unless I plan something, nothing will happen haha.

I had my 40th in 2020 in amongst everything being shut down 👎. I really wanted to go to Bali for it though, just as a family since I haven't been there. We ended up just going out for dinner. Is there a concert you want to see, a place you want to go, a bucket list item like skydiving you want to cross off?
I threw a big dress up party - theme "70's" and we would have had about 100 people.
Catering was pretty easy. Ordered bread rolls, bought premade salads, got a pig on a spit and had a big sponge cake.
Music was 70's and 80's hits (played by a mate/DJ).
I made a photo booth area with a disco dance floor background and a box full of afro wigs, John Lennon sunnies, blow up microphones and guitars, peace sign necklaces, glow sticks etc.
My husband had a 50s rock n roll theme for his 40th in 2019. Mine is in Feb next year and we are going to Airlie Beach for 5 days with a bunch of family and extended family members (don't really have many friends so only have family coming)
I skipped a party and had a weekend of me haha. I invited girlfriends to visit and we went out to dinner, then the pub dancing. The next morning I went kayaking with some other girlfriends then went out again that night for Tepanyaki and a live band. It was amazing. I then had a quiet lunch with my children, siblings and their families etc. on another weekend. I loved my 40th. We were thinking of booking in a wine tour but it just didn't work out. Would not change a thing 🥰
