Can anyone please offer mr some insight or info if you have ever experienced this pain after eating.
After I eat the back of my thighs and sciatic kills. It’s so painful.
I have spoken to my Dr who gives me pain relief. It’s not what I want. I want to get to the root cause. I don’t want it to be masked. I want to know what the cause and prevention is.
I ate dinner tonight and an hour later I’m in pain. it’s deep in the back of my thigh along my sciatic nerve.
Is this inflammation caused by food maybe.? Has anyone ever experienced this? it happens most times that I eat. Sometimes worse than other times.
I can’t pin point a food that could cause it. I am going to go on a fresh fruit and vegetable diet to see if it improves but hoping someone here can shed some light on it for me.

Please note before anyone gets on the medical advice debate. Drs have ruled out blood clots and other serious conditions.
This is probably not in response to a specific food but rather referred pain from further up your spine. Perhaps your stomach is pressing on a nerve that's causing the sciatica.
This is interesting. I have never thought of it this way. Thanks
Unfortunately this response is not anatomically possible.
Your Bowel and kidneys can cause visceral referred Px into the lower back so to your reproductive organs. However you would likely have other symptoms to suggest this.. change in bowel/bladder habits related to the pain, pain that isn’t reproduced by activity etc
Please go and see an Osteo or Physio. If you have already ruled out a visceral cause of your pain.
I was told at one point that I had visceral hypersensitivity. I do have issues with my bowel and pain on and off. Sometimes it hurts with food digesting. All tests come back clear. I was convinced I was coeliac. It’s hard to pin point a cause when Drs no longer want to know about it when nothing is found. now you mention this, I do believe it’s my bowel. At first the specialist thought I had Crohns or Colitis which was ruled out with colonoscopy etc. I have seen gastroenterologists who ran tests. I did have chronic gastritis and hyplori which was treated, that showed in my biopsy. I’m not sure if this can affect it, if it’s not healed properly. Thank you for the information.
Food can 100% be inflammatory and different foods affect different people. I’m not celiac or crohns but I am intolerant to a lot of grains. When I eat them I have sciatica, my joints hurt etc.. I’m currently doing the fat loss protocol to eliminate lots from my diet and to then reintroduce and figure out the foods I can and can’t have .
Sciatica or sciatic pain is caused by the Sciatic nerve being pinched or compressed.
I struggle with sciatica because I have a slightly herniated disc in my lower back caused by pregnancy.
Have you had an MRI?
Is it only when you sit in a specific chair, or in a specific way? We tend to sit differently when eating, with legs at 90deg angle & slightly leaning forward over the plate.
Does it still happen if you just eat a sandwich on the couch, for example?
I get sciatica quite badly, and it's often certain postures, sleeping positions or chairs that set it off.
Yes it seems to be anytime it flares up 😫
I had sciatic pain when pregnant and unfortunately it only got worse, because Of a compressed disc, however it was worse when eating…I had an OT do a home visit a few years ago and mentioned it, and it was my dining chairs. The lip on the end was just at the wrong angle, and was pushing on the nerve, unfortunately most chairs are the same length in the seat, so most chairs set it off for me, perhaps your the same? I’ve found a cushion works well and I’m hyper aware of how I’m sitting and leaning these days.
If I’m having a flare up I find it easier to walk sideways like a crab to help release the pressure.
