I screwed up

I write in atleast once a year. Sometimes with a serious question and other times with something completely embarrassing or a confession.

My last one? Amazon and my mom finding sex toys.

But this latest? Well... Where do I start?

It's 0500 on a particularly freezing morning in Melbourne which will obviously turn into a beautiful day. I get up, the dog protests, I shower and grab my things to leave.

Disaster strikes. The car is frozen with frost covering the windshield.

I don't make the amateur mistake of warm water, because that is a cracked screen of a drama I got no time for.

I go one step further.

The water hose.

The lights in the garage have gone out. So I grab my phone and put the torch on so I can find the end of the hose. I hose the car. Great right?

Wrong.

The drivers side door is wide open. I've managed to not just spray but drench my entire front part of the car both inside and out.

I wouldn't have done this if I had seen the door open. The hose was also frozen into the loops mounted on the wall and there was a car parked in between us so it was blocking my view. I should have shut the door after getting my phone out of my bag though.

I was so worried about locking my keys accidentally in the car that I have a habit of leaving the door wide open.

Well...now, I have a swamp to clean up. I have like LAYERS of towels and throws on the driver's seat with trash bags to cover it and I've just managed to get to mcdonald's for my mocha and write this before I start work at 0630.

What a clusterfcuk of a day this'll turn out to be. Wish me luck!

Atleast I didn't leave small children home alone and forget about them.
