Hi, I know this is probably a Dr question but figured I could ask here anyway.
I'm about to hit 34 and already my sex drive has dropped and honestly not even thinking about it as much as I did.
However I'm on birth control and have been since I was 19.
Have one child, how does my body naturally go into pre menopause if I'm on birth control? I know probably a silly question.

Prob a bit early to be starting pre menopause I wouldn’t even worry. I had my bloods done recently as part of a comprehensive blood test, I’m 47 and not peri menopausal yet so I doubt you are
I'm 38 and feel the same as you ! Literally zero libido !! I just went to doctor and asked her if I was going through peri menopause. She nearly laughed at me. But I did get a blood test to check. Still waiting on results. I'm also on the pill. Other symptoms were Constantly getting thrush and extremely dry.
Probably not menopause but could just be a change in hormones. How's everything else in your life? Any stress with work, family, relationships?
Have you considered coming off the pill? Is that something that would work for your circumstances? The pill really isn't great for us long term
Libido changes are a pretty normal part of life. Stress, being busy, just having had a lot sex and needing a break. Just all very normal part of life.
There can actually be an increase in libido during perimenopause as your body starts trying to use up your eggs.
You can have changes in hormones that won’t be classed as perimenopause.
It can be useful to know when your mum and grandmothers went through menopause as a guide (it’s not predictive).
My mum was in menopause (no period for 2 years) in her mid 40s so it wasn’t surprising when I started getting hot flashes and changes to my menstrual cycle in my early 40s. But that’s considered young and despite being closer to 50 my period hasn’t stopped yet, just very spread out.
