Hey everyone, we’ve just found out our 14 year old daughter is vaping, she doesn’t know we know. She’s doing it at school and after school using anyones vape she can, she’s also organised with a friend for her to buy a vape for her so it gets sent to her friends house and she doesn’t get caught. She’s also told multiple friends that she wants to try drugs too, myself and her father are at a loss and not sure where to turn next or what to do? Has anyone been through this before? Editing to add this in: she has now started stealing our cigarettes.

We had a feeling, then managed to find a photo of her and friends doing it at school. With an anonymous email, I sent it to the school. Her and most of her friends got suspended. No regret.
The teachers have been trying to catch a few of them out but they’re having no luck because they do it in the cubicles.
So the teachers are fully aware of it it’s just catching them that’s the problem.
It’s a peer thing, the only way to stop it if she’s into it already would be watching her the whole time, and using that time to try to get through to her on self esteem and what it does to your body, so that she cares about her body and future more than she cares about vaping with her mates.
Education is the key. Several videos are available showing the danger of vaping. I would have an honest conversation with her and ask why she is vaping? A lot of the time it is due to peer pressure and not wanting to feel left out.
