Probably depends on the circumstances and whether the person was of sound mind at the time. Elderly people can be taken advantage of very easily unfortunately and some people worm their way in. I know of one lady that cared for an elderly lady and ended up with 3 million out of the will when she passed. She was looking after her less than a year. Really dodgy. Then another couple who are just waiting for their Dad to die so they can inherit his houses, neither of them work they are literally just waiting to live off his hard work. There are some gross people out there. Best to seek legal advice if it actually happens.
He was in the right sound of mind and his daughter also agreed to the property being transferred. The daughter was the main person who looked after the house.it’s the other daughter who has a problem with it. But it was all done legally and paperwork signed.
But defiantly understand what your saying I’ve heard some horrible stories of this.it’s sad what people think and do.
Yes they can, and often do over fighting over parents/family estates if they believe they are due some part.
Oh wow! The daughter who has a issue is owed $60,000 by the dad. And now the person who own the property is worried she will lose it if he passes.
Yeah she’d have a claim, he can’t give away assets when he owes someone to avoid paying.
And despite all that she’d be able to try a claim just for her share of inheritance. Get proper legal advice.
Thank you! Will get my friend onto legal advice asap!
Yes understand what your saying he owns another property and a business.
