4 almost 5 year old still wetting at night

My baby girl is 4 will be 5 in October. She is completely toilet trained throughout the day and has been for some time. However she still wets a lot during the night. She wears a pull up to bed and she wakes in the morning with it being full. I have tried limiting water in the evenings and encourage going to the toilet before bedtime. I was told by someone just to put her in undies for a few nights and she would after a few nights stop wetting, we did it for a couple of nights but after the second night of wetting the bed we went back to pull ups. Is this normal? She will be in Prep next year. So just want to make sure we are doing the right thing.

Night dryness is not behavioural. It is not achieved by limiting drinks, dream wees or pushing it. It's developmental/hormonal. The average age to develop the hormone to be completely dry at night is 8. Keep her in the pull-ups. She's fine

It’s super common! Keep doing the pull-up and when she starts getting some dry pull ups then reassess.
While a percentage of kids will already be dry on there own, it’s so common that its considered normal until around 8/9 years of age.

My 5 year old still wears pull ups. I have no concern at all. If she gets to 7 or 8 I’ll take her to the doctor but she’s a heavy sleeper. She’ll train at night when she’s ready.

My 2nd son was the same. We used brolly sheets and pull ups. We didn’t make it a huge issue when we realised he wanted to do it, his body just wasn’t letting him yet. When we were having more drier nights and he was happy to go without pull ups, the brolly sheets were the best. I can’t remember exactly when it stopped, but it was around 7? It’s ok, she will get there.
