We just moved into a house with carpet. Iv never had my kids on carpet. It's light grey and thick.
What's your rules for the kids when it comes to carpet.
So far I have no food or drink in bedrooms
Only eat and drink in the dining/kitchen
Gumboots to be kept at the laundry back door, all shoes to be taken off at the doors, and carried in
On rainy days, a towel is put by the front door inside, they are to clean their shoes, take them off and put them away.
Any other suggestions.

Get some good mats for the outside, I use large outdoor rubber mats that have the tiny little nodule thingys all over it, they are really good at trapping dirt and water off shoes. Mats for heavy traffic areas like entrance and hallways, loungeroom. Mats for the bedrooms even with no food rule there are other things that stain like creams, make up, toilet accidents, wet towels and swimwear so it's better to be safe than sorry.
