Working and benefits

I know I’ll figure it out but I’m over excited and just want to know things. I haven’t worked in over a decade as I’ve been a mum! I’m a single mum. My youngest is 3. I’ve just secured a full time position!!!! I’m on 49k a year for salary. I’m okay with no longer gettibg any benefits as it’s more than I was on when receiving benefits but I do want to work out how much better off I am. Am I still entitled to any benefits when on 49k a year? Either single parenting payment or FTB? Thankyou 🥰

Yes you’ll still get ftb and rent assistance and maybe some spp, you’ll report your income each fortnight and then still get paid anything you’re entitled to.

Congratulations, that's so exciting for you!

Yes, you'll still be eligible for benefits, there's a calculator on the Centrelink website that can indicate how your salary will affect your payments.
