Does anyone know of specialist that can help with lying and compulsive spending.I have grown up thinking lying is ok, because my parents have done it my entire life and I want to change, it’s ruining my relationship. I’m based in cairns

Go to your GP and get a care plane for a psychologist or psychiatrist. Your Dr would know who is best to see.

Be so proud of yourself for admitting this and seeking help.

You need to see a psych. Even though U come from a family of lies, their may also me underlying medical issues. Councelling is important, and perhaps hypothesis

Definitely getting to the cause/triggers for the behaviours will help alongside developing alternative ways of coping. I think a Psychologist could be an amazing help. However, you have just made the biggest step on your own. Admitting you have a problem is massive <3 You can do this
