First time poster here. I have a great job but it’s not very high paying as in not even $25 an hour. It’s really stressful and there are never enough hours to get everything done so even when I’m home - there’s always more to be done or a list to write of what I need to do on the next day.
It’s just three days a week. I was made redundant last year from my other high paid job. I’m trying to save for a renovation so I’ve got another casual job as well as my own business. My business is not constant so the money ebbs and flows, and can’t be relied upon.
I’m unsure of what to do to help take the pressure off? I could just do some casual work one day a week - and earn some decent money. We just have bills and also need to save money for kids for school, and all the upcoming bills.
We are dipping into savings as we just don’t have enough money. I’m selling things we don’t need and trying to make extra money. The stress is making me feel unwell.
Wondering if I should go back to my previous work as a teacher to earn better money, after my contract ends at the end of this year? Teachers seem to be extremely stressed but I know there is a shortage of them and I could earn far better money? But I really love my job!

I'm confused...is the job really stressful or do you love it?
You have your business/side hustle?
Then you have your 3 day a week job?
And you want to get a third job?
Sounds juggly. Go back to teaching.
It's not a great job if you're working outside of hours & unhappy with the pay rate. Add to that all of the exra work you're having to do to make enough money & perhaps teaching, one job, is a better option, providing you don't hate doing it.
If you don't want to teach full time you could supply teach the days you're not committed to your other job & see how you go. Apparently the money is pretty good with little out of hours work required.
Most reasonably well paid professionals are overworked & stressed & have ridiculous expectations put on them. I found time management training helped me get organised & prioritise & say no to extra, unpaid hours.
Get another job! Plenty out there.
