Curious to know what others which children between 4 and 6 do at night? What time is bed time? Do you allow tv in the evening at all?

Yes I do. I usually lay with them around 7.30 pm and watch a movie until they doze off. For me, my kids get sleepy with movies so it works well.
Our routine has pretty much been the same since my first was little (she’s now 7 and we have 4 more kids). I start baths at 5:15, Dad gets home at 5:30 and they play with him for half an hour while I finish tea, tea is about 6, after brushing teeth they can turn the tv on. Tv off at 7 and then it’s story, tucked in, cuddles and kisses and lights out. Our eldest has just started asking if she can read a little more before she goes to sleep so she’s allowed to read until 7:30 and then lights out. We were lucky that our eldest loves routine and settles well at night and the others have just followed her lead
Bedtime is 7, earlier if they’re gross or I’m tired. I read a story, we cuddle chat and talk about things, and plans for tomorrow. Then toilet and lights out. They can have tv earlier in the night but they don’t go straight from tv to bed because they won’t sleep.
