I did sclerotherapy. If they're considered varicose (not just spider) medicare pay a portion. I went to a specialist vein doctor rather than cardio doc. Cheaper & easier to access appointment wise but still highly trained medical doctor.
If medicare pays rebate do it in the 2nd half of the year. I hit the safety net ceiling (we don't spend much on health) & last treatment cost barely anything. Out of pocket was around $1500.
There's also laser but my research said it's not as effective. Creams, don't bother. Unfortunately it's a medical procedure & you need well trained docs or risk complications.
*Be aware.... Its a chronic condition & more veins appear over time. Yay. Mine have 3 years on, but only red spider ones on thighs & nowhere near as bad (painful vein hasn't reappeared). I'm looking at redoing probably this or next year.
