Best Screen Time App?

Hi everyone 👋🏼
I’m a shift worker and my husband is a soft touch when it comes to the kids (read lazy haha) so he always used to let them have as much screen time as they wanted. Quite a while ago I started using the native Apple Screen Time app and didn’t give him the password so the kids knew he couldn’t give them more time if I was at work.

Is there an app like this that allows more options, ie one time limit for mornings and one for after school etc?

I’ve looked at a heap of the parent monitoring apps but they’re so expensive and I don’t need all the features they offer. I just need to be able to give blocks of screen time throughout the day not mornitor their usage because they don’t have social media or messaging apps etc.

I have Android. Android does family link. Your kids will need their own google accounts. Then you connect their account to yours through family link. You can set a bed time, block apps, turn off apps, give bonus time. Only down fall is you can't control their phone book and block phone numbers witch would be a plus in the world of cyber bullying. When my daughter starts text wars I turn off the call and text functions. You can set it that they require
promission to download apps. You will get a notification and u can read the app and say yay or nay.
You can also go into their Google play, and add parental controls and set limits on the ratings of content they can download. It's all password protected

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm guessing that only works on Android phones and tablets? We all have Google accounts but I have an iPhone and my kids both have iPads because that's what they needed for school.
