Divorce proceedings starting gosh nearly 2yrs ago. Back and forth trying to come to an agreement. Has since gone to arbitration.
My question is: Was due to be rapped up at the end of the month. Possible inheritance coming due to a family member passing a couple months ago. Can the other party make a claim on this possible inheritance given the family member passed after the divorce was initiated?

Yes. A claim can be made on any funds received prior to finalisation of property settlement. Contact the executors / solicitors & make sure there's a "paperwork issue" keeping the money in their trust fund until the court orders are finalised
