My son is almost 13. His face is getting so bad with pimples and black heads, he has just a chemist brought face wash that he uses daily but I think we really need a good skin care routine before it gets out of control. Black heads on the chin and nose are actually crazy and they get HUGE!!
Please help. Does anyone have any suggestions that is easy for a kid but does an amazing job 🤞🤞
He has glasses and braces and is already self conscious.

Try "Simple" foam and moisturiser.
I don't know if it'll help but I have very sensitive skin and can use it daily. The acne will be worse if the cleanser is too harsh.
I'm sure there's better, more expensive ones but tbh if I was going to go expensive I'd be seeing a dermatologist.
My son uses a face scrub after using soap and finishing with turmeric cream every day . It clears up pimples and black heads within days but this routine must be done daily
Sounds like this is edging into acne territory as opposed to typical hormonal skin. So I personally would consider having a chat with his GP and/or a dermatologist.
In the meantime though, try and find an over the counter face wash that has salicylic acid in it - that's one of the main black head removing ingredients.
Make sure he's moisturising as well, if he's not putting any moisture back into his skin after cleansing, his skin will over produce its natural oils which can make things worse.
Roaccutane! It might seem a bit extreme as a first option but it works wonders! It changed my life and now it has changed my 12yo sons life. 3 months of side effects is worth the results!!!!!
I’ve just spoken to my 14 year old son’s paediatrician this morning about his acne. It was a Telehealth appointment so she couldn’t examine him, but she did say to start by getting him into a good cleansing and moisturising routine. Then if it’s not improving take him to the GP to get advice and, if needed a referral to a dermatologist. My son splits his time 50/50 between my house and his father’s. When at my house he uses a bamboo cloth in the shower, just wets it, wipes his face and off he goes. If he uses regularly, I find it starts to improve by the end of the week. But then he goes to his father’s where he doesn’t use anything and comes back worse. So I’ve ordered more of the cloths so some can be taken over there, and I’ve also ordered some trial tins of moisturiser recommended for teenage acne prone skin, so he can try them out and see which works best for his skin. I ordered the cloths and moisturisers from Ecology Skincare (https://ecologyskincare.com/). I’ve been using an Ecology moisturiser for about 7 months now, on my face, neck and hands, and my skin has improved so much. I ordered a trial pack based on the skin issues I was having, and now get the larger tins of the one that works best for me. A small amount goes a long way!
So my son has been consistently using his bamboo cloth for the past week, and the trial tins of moisturiser arrived on Thursday. Already I’m noticing an improvement in his skin. Fingers crossed it continues to improve.
