Nope, he’ll kill time with you and suddenly he’ll be in a relationship with someone else.

He's wasting your time.

I think it's clear... he enjoys your friendship. That's all.

It's fine he's ok with being a bestie. He's just not attracted to you. I would respect that.

Either be a bestie or move on to someone who you feel you can invest your time in nurturing a romantic relationship.

I had a male friend years ago who I had no romantic interest in but he kept making his romantic interest in me known despite me being very clear I didn't feel the same way. I had to cut that friendship off eventually!

Point being that he's been very upfront about his feelings so you need to respect that, hanging around hoping things will progress into a romantic relationship just because he's your "perfect guy" is pretty disingenuous.

Good lord, if this was a man asking this question women everywhere would be screaming about how creepy he is.
Honey, he isn’t interested, back up and learn to love your new friend for what he is…a friend

I think it's great he's been honest and upfront with you and hasn't lied to mess with you. You can either enjoy the friendship or cut him off entirely but you can't make him want a relationship with you.

This is why some women panic if they're friends with my husband in an online game and I come into the room he's playing in. They think a man talking to a woman means he's interested in them when he's not. He probably enjoys talking to you because you have similar humour or something. That's not romantic interest though

Yes years ago I meant someone online then in person and we were strictly friends then one thing led to another and we have now been happily married nearly 17 years

He’s made it very clear what he wants. You’re flogging a dead horse if you want more than friendship
