I don't want to go into much back story as it's very long but hoping parents of teens with mental health concerns can shed light for me please.
I want my teen assessed help for lying, lying which can get people into a lot of trouble legally and socially. They also have other behaviours that should for could be upsetting to those impacted.
Do teen mental health services help parents/carers of teens who refuse help or refuse to accept they need it? I wamt to help my teen before their mental health Impacts them more than just our family. It is starting to impact their friend too and worry the loss if this friendship will cause them to spiral.
I know they need help but I don't know what can be done to help them when they dont think they need it.
I should add, we are almost certain drugs are not an issue due to access and friendships.
Thank you.

Try contacting teen mental health services in your state. In Qld there’s Headspace or Child & Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS). They will be able to advise on the best way to seek treatment. If you can, also get them an appointment with their GP who can write them a mental health care plan and refer them to a psychologist for 10 Medicare subsidised appointments.
