How does everyone keep going with there weight loss. I just want to give up. I’ve had enough. nothing seems to work. No one else in my family is big not my kids not my parents not my brother and sister. As a matter of fact my dad and my sister could stand beside each other and they would be the same size as me. I have tried for the last 4 years, I play football, I go to the gym I work out more than my teenage kids yet I’m still pushing 130kg. I callorie count everything that goes into my mouth these days. Yes I have some bad days like today I ate a brownie but I never eat over 1800cal most days I eat 1300 as set by my doctor. I’ve stopped drinking alcohol I have cut back on my sugar intake massively. I’ve cut back to 3 cans of Pepsi’s max a week some weeks I don’t even have any. During covid I brought a home gym and treadmill other than when I’m sick which is quite often. I use it almost every day. I’ve been through so many doctors they just tell me I’m not being honest with myself and I must be cheating on my diet and Its a lifestyle change not a quick fix. When my family have take away I don’t eat it and if I do than I choose the healthiest option on the menu again this is very rare. I have even started eating with a smaller plate to make sure I’m having then right portion size but I should be because I weigh all my food before I cook it. So I have made massive changes. I’ve tried shakes I just seem to put on weight even more with them. I’ve been to so many different doctors. I’ve had blood tests it’s always the same my levels are always just within normal. My body hurts every day I’ve suffered from pcos and endometriosis since my teenage years. My partner and my kids keep me going but I’m just so tired. If anyone knows of a doctor in Victoria that is a specialist in this field that they recommend please send me their details.

Do you use a calorie tracking app? Sometimes we eat more than we think. I use MyFitnessPal and input everything I eat and drink. I’m surprised how quickly things add up. It’s also a good idea to cut back on carbs. For myself, I try to eat less than 20% of my daily food intake in carbohydrates, and this makes a big difference to me. I eat a mainly whole foods diet, as I can’t have gluten, and most gluten free products are full of carbs. Mainly meat, cheeses, leafy greens, berries, fish, and no grains at all. Sugar free jelly is also awesome for a sweet treat with next to no calories.
Yes I do use an app to track them and I also plan all my meals.
Thank you for the tips
