Hey all! I'm wanting to hear from ladies who have had experience working in the mines/rigs, not necessarily as a cleaner. It's something I'm thinking about venturing towards but I have no idea where to start? So if anyone has any tips/pointers then that would be great! Thanks!

There's heaps of Tafe courses to help you in. My daughter works in the labs on the mines and loves it, not as much money as the machinery side of things but still really good money for her age. My daughter was advised to just keep applying for positions until she got one, she succeeded on her second application which is really good considering they like prior FIFO experience no matter what the position. My ex had all his licences/tickets and drove trucks for a few years before trying the mines and didn't have any trouble with that experience behind him.
Depends what sort of mine you want to work in, as well as what sort of job you want. Are you thinking along the lines of machinery operations, cooking, administration?
