I know someone who is helping to cover for their child's Centrelink fraud. My question is can they get in trouble for helping to cover the lies? Adult Child is receiving single parent payment whilst partnered, he covers and says she lives with him, while she lives with the partner.

Oh boy
Yes of course that's fraud, they could follow it up if they choose to. Big risk to take for some extra money for someone else.
If they’ve given some sort of statement to them yes.
Ugh who gives a flying shit. It’s beyond poverty living off Centrelink so I wouldn’t give a shit if I knew anyone doing this. However if they were working full time, earning a wage anyway, and doing it, I would be more bothered . But if Centrelink is their only income leave them be. And before you assume, yes I work full time and earn a good wage .
I agree, noone I know that's done this is living a life Id want. But the question is could this person get into trouble and the answer is yes, because they would have supplied a legal statement or document saying she lives at their house when she doesn't.
Noone I know, including myself, has ever had to provide a statement to centrelink. Just because she hangs out at her partners place doesn't mean she doesn't still pay rent and bills at her place of residence. People really gotta stop assuming what goes on in other people's lives and focus on their own
It says he covers and says she lives there when she doesn't. Every single applicant has to prove their occupancy at their address either by lease or statement.
How about mind your own business.
Yes they will, as they should.
