Inappropriate thoughts

I just recently feel attracted to one of my husband's mates. I do love my husband very much and would never have an affair or throw away my marriage, but dam how the hell do I snap out of it.

For a example I am extremely conservative around him, I wear appropriate clothing and would never give mix signals.

how the hell do shake myself out of this rutt i got myself in? I feel absolutely vile for thinking like this and I feel like a terrible wife.

Please no put downs I feel horrible as it is.

You sound like you are on the right path. Feeling a spark with someone is pretty common. It’s the choice not to act in it is what makes you a great person.
Keep your distance from the friend and the thoughts should dissipate over time.

I’ve lost count of the amount of crushes I’ve had on my husbands friends over the years. It’s harmless and I’ve never flirted with them nor acted on it. Crushes are normal as long as it stays exactly that. A crush. They don’t last long . Genuine love for your partner lasts . Crushes don’t.

I have had multiple crushes on coworkers, friends etc. I think it's normal to feel a spark sometimes. I agree with the other posters that it's the decision to act on it (or not) that matters.

I feel like crushes are simply human nature, there's probably an evolutionary aspect to it too - back from when a human being's only need was to eat and propagate 😂

It's probably best not to indulge these feelings/thoughts but you're in no way a bad person for having them, we can't help who we have a fleeting attraction to!
