No sleep

Sleep!! Or lack of I’m 45 going thru all the lovely changes one is no sleep. I get about 3-4 hours a night which is hard when I have a full time high pressure job. I take vitamins what else can u suggest I’m scared to go to the dr as they might put me on sleeping tablets

And no, they won't give you sleeping tablets. And even if they offered them, you can advocate for yourself and say no I'm not comfortable with that treatnent, is there anothrr option you can suggest?
People need to realise they can say no to a treatment a doctor offers and ask for an alternative! Its a crap reason to not go to the doctor because you're worried about what they mighht suggest to treat the condition.

Don't have caffeine after midday. Check out thr smiling mind app and do some meditation before bed to help wind down. Restrict screen time/use blue light filter before a couple hours before bed.

Thank you melatonin does nothing unfortunately no tv or screen time either after the news at 7. I’ll look into meditation:)

They won’t give you sleeping tablets straight up

My doctor recommended I do a managing insomnia course, https://thiswayup.org.au/courses/managing-insomnia-course/ There is usually a fee, although I didn’t have to pay, but I don’t know if that’s because the doctor referred me or not. You don’t need a doctor to refer you. There are four lessons, that discuss different aspects of insomnia and gives you strategies to improve your sleep.

I have the total opposite, phenerghan makes me groggy and have a dry mouth where as sleep aid I feel great the next day.
