For those who are on medication to help with stress and anxiety do these medications also help with better sleep or is that another pill?! Also what changes did you notice? I’m at the point where I feel medication is the only thing that will he long but only want it to be a short term option but scared of the changes/feelings that will occur as I’ve never been on anything before

The first week or so I felt I little light headed as I adjusted to the medication and then I just started to feel less depressed and less anxious.
It didn’t knock me out at night and I was able to wake up if a kid cried or whatever, but it did help me sleep better because I wasn’t as anxious and depressed.
I had to take my medication at the correct time of day/night so it didnt affect my sleep. It does take a while to adjust to meds
There are more natural things to help with sleep too look at those too
Some medication that treats
anxiety and depression can also help you sleep. I am taking valdoxan to help me through depression brought on by grief and it helps me sleep.
I haven’t had any side effects with this except I need to have regular bloods to check liver function, as that is a serious side effect.
What you should do though is go talk to your doctor and discuss your options. There are so many these days.
The changes as in, easing of anxious thoughts and behaviours and a chance to get back to your normal self.
I won't lie, the first few weeks can be a bit weird, I normally feel slightly spaced out, my appetite changes, sometimes slightly nauseated. The important thing to remember is that once you get through this part, it's so good. It's imperative to ensure someone at home is aware and can help you monitor your weaning on and off
