I am 44 years old. I have finally after many years been diagnosed with POTs syndrome. My monthly period is horrendous which also makes my POTs hard to manage during this time. I have seen one of the best and most experienced Gynocologist/obstetrician in Melb. He recommended a hysterectomy will be best suited for me. Taking out my uterus and cervix and leaving in my ovaries.
Has anyone had THIS SPECIFIC hysterectomy done and how was recovery and after life please?
Thanks!

My sister had this surgery a year and a half ago for endometriosis.
The original plan was to do the surgery laparoscopically and and remove contents vaginally. But due to the position of her uterus she needed to be opened up along her c-section scar instead.
It was a long recovery, lots of restrictions on how much weight she could lift, driving and lifting her hands above her head. It took 6 weeks before she could really do any light housework, drive and start to get back to normal. It’s important to follow medical advice during this time.
Since the initial recovery she has had no issues, and is doing very well.
