Hello Imperfect mum's! This mumma is looking for advice. My GP recommended I get the Deprovira shot as my pill was giving me estrogen drop headaches. The first month after getting the shot I thought it was great, a light period and some occasional spotting. Fast forward to month 2 period was heavy clotting and I have continued to bleeding for almost 4 weeks. Looking for your experiences on this form of contraception? I'm exhausted no amount of sleep is helping. I've given up on depo shots as doctor advised this bleeding could continue after the next shot, I am trying a different pill. I have fibroids and this is why I am on some form of contraception. Please help...

I had the deprovira shot and had the same issues. 52 days of continual heavy bleeding.
GP suggested against the marina coil (spelling might be wrong and to lazy to google it) as it has the same hormones in it apparently so would likely do the same thing.
Suggested the implant (in arm) which did the same as well but they gave me the pill and said to take it for 2 month and then stop, if bleeding restarted I’d need it removed. Stopped the pill after 3 mths and didn’t have bleeding again for the whole time!! Winning!! Had it removed 3 years later :)
